For The Little's and everyone else too

Ok, so it's been since July that we posted... I forget about this thing and Danielle can't remember the password, so she says. Well in a picture montage here is what you have missed.

Enjoy.

(Spoken in the words of the man himself... Haden.

Alright folks... so here's the last 7 months in a nutshell...

I once was called the man in the mirror... I call it art.

I had my picture taken with my girlfriend to let our intentions be known that we will be attending UGA together....

I made my first trip to the "V"... for those of you non-educated folks, that's the Varsity...

This is just before my very first UGA tailgate!

Now this was FUN! My first fair and encounter with a MOO-Cow...

This was at the pumpkin patch... my Daddy bought one too many pumpkins...

Ugh, Halloween... I hated the costume but loved scaring people!

Daddy said I wasn't carrying my weight around the house and made me get a job...

I look ripped in this picture... want some? Didn't think so...

My Mommy and me at a birthday party for her friend...

Ahhh, the Pink Pig... the ride, awesome... the ears and nose Mommy stuck on me annoying.

Ahhh, Christmas time. I got lots of cool toys and even landed on the front page of the paper!

My one year old portrait....

CCCCAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEE! I mean... my birthday party, it was ok... CCAAKKEEE!!!

My Daddy and I think this president was cool... he overcame a lot, some guy named FDR. This place is called The Little White House.

My first car!

They call me the handyman... there ain't nothing I can't fix. That's right I used a double negative, do something about it.

Well hope you enjoyed, we promise not to go 7 months without updating again we promise.

Ok, so we're not the best at this...

So it's been over a month since the last post... I know we're horrible bloggers. I've never been one to do this often and Danielle hasn't been one to ever do this. Well this post was started on Sunday and well... finished on Monday. The author (Daddy) had to make a trip to the ER. Another nice, Lumbarsacral Sprain (Pulled muscle in the lower back) This is the 4th time in the last 6 months. So Daddy is out of work for three days and will be going to the Orthopedic Clinic on Monday or Tuesday for a consult on how to repair and prevent this.

Haden had a great weekend! While Daddy raced his truck on Friday Mommy and Haden played at home. Saturday Haden and Mommy went and visited Haden's girlfriend Lucy and her Mommy (Click for Lucy's blog). The had a great day of shopping and hanging out. Sunday was another fun filled day as Haden, Mommy and Grandmama went to cousin Jack Durham's birthday party. It was of course a Thomas the Tank theme. There was even a train ride! Haden had a great time and was a tired lil' tractor. He crashed without even fighting the sleep! Which by the way is his favorite thing to do on most nights. He will roll around, laugh, smile and kick and flail to keep from falling asleep.

We try to video most of the things he does but he knows, and I mean he knows when the camera is on. He stops whatever he is doing and stares at you like a two month old. He regresses 5 months back to no man's land.

Well stay tuned for more info....

A few words from mommy...

Soooo, Haden was six months old on Friday, June 20th.  Everyone says the time flies by, and they were so right! Haden seems to be right on track with all of his milestones, and he definitely has his own little personality. He is such a happy baby-unless he does not get his meals the second he wants them, and then he turns into such a little demon! He is rolling all over the place to get where he wants- he loves his puzzles and books. He has gotten very "grabby" lately and wants anything that we have, whether it be a cup, cell phone or tv remote. So, we gave him his own to play with! We are working on the sippy cup, and while he gets the concept, he does not seem to realize that he has to tilt the cup back to actually get the water.  He continues to "happy yell"- he is one of the most vocal babies I have ever heard! Yes, he is a big boy, as everyone loves to comment (solicited or not).  Our backs can attest to this fact! He is mostly wearing 12months clothes.  He loves to laugh, pull our hair, touch Daddy's facial hair and be tickled by Daddy. He sleeps through the night and only recently has begun to really fight his sleep. He can sit on his own for short periods.  He can now sit in the high chair at a restauarant like a big boy (yay, no more carrying his car seat in!) and can sit up in the shopping cart. Much to Zoey's dismay, he has discovered her and is absolutely fascinated by her- he can occasionally grab her before she scoots off like a rocket.  Her world is going to be rocked when he starts crawling...

Been a Long Time Since....

Ok... so it's been a while since we've posted on Haden's blog. I don't guess it's really His blog, I guess it's more our blog about Haden. Well anyways... We're back and we have Haden's six month portraits! We are going to put a few up on the blog and all of them on our .Mac account which all you may view and download the pictures! Now... if you choose to order prints we are not responsible for the copyright, lol. wink, wink. Well here ya go!

Haden's Day at the Track... Race Track That is!

Haden had a new experience yesterday... he went to the Atlanta Dragway! Daddy was working on the Safety Safari Crew for the Super Chevy Show on Sunday and Haden asked Mommy to take him to see Daddy!

We thought Haden would cry with the loud cars going by... but nope. Haden just would look up and try to find out where the noise came from. He even got to see one of the two Jet Cars go by! These are funny cars that are not run by regular engines but real jet engines. I'll try and add the video to the blog of the jet cars going by. The in-laws who live about 6 miles from the track as the crow flies said they thought there was a thunderstorm rolling in but it was just the jet cars boostin' the after-burners.

Haden even got to sit in the seat of a Pro-mod dragster as it was coming back to the pits after the final run. (This is one of the perks of Daddy being a crew member, we sit on one of the two access roads with our trucks.) He met Jerry Rhodes one of the Pro-Mod drivers and Jerry wouldn't let us take a picture on just the outside of his car, he asked (well not really asked, he said "Give me that baby!") to hold Haden in the driver's seat and take the pictures! Haden out of practice with Daddy went right for the stearing wheel! Now let me clear this up, I do not... DO NOT ride around town with my son in my lap like Britney Spears... but we do sit behind the wheel and occasionally, as in once ride around the block.

Haden, I think, had a blast at the track. We look forward to his Jr. Dragster career starting up in a few years. lol.

Mother's Day Weekend

Mommy's turn! Haden's Daddy has got to upload some pics for me from the camera, because I have some good ones to show off from the past week. I just want to thank my friends for remembering me on my first Mother's Day and for the lovely cards and text messages they sent me. I had the most fantastic first Mother's Day ever! Haden made me a beautiful placemat and three cards (one had his footprint on it!) with the help of his baby-sitter. It was so touching, I cried. He was very fussy Friday night, and now we know why (teething- see Daddy's previous post for more details). We had a great family day on Saturday- the three of us met Mi Young and her precious daughter for lunch at Loco's- we swapped birthing and baby stories, and ate some good grub. Then the Cheek's were off to Sam's for diapers and wipes! My parents came over for dinner- Kev fixed a Paula Dean special! Yummy! Aunt Candace surprised our parents by coming in from Atlanta. She was so excited to see Haden and how much he has grown since the last time she saw him! He was the hit of dinner, and eagerly showed off his motor-boatin' skills! My mommy and daddy gave me wonderful goodies- a new purse, two pairs of shoes and some funny parenting books! Haden's Daddy floored Mommy with a homemade trinket box that he woodburned with Haden's picture in a frame on the top- he had carved Mommy on the front and Mother's Day 2008 on the side. Inside was a gift card to Barnes and Noble and the beautiful charm bracelet I had been yearning for, with Haden's picture and a heart with his name and birthdate on it! It is the most special piece of jewelry I own- his Daddy says it's OK that I like it more than my wedding rings! He even got a chick flick for us to watch- if you have not seen 27 Dresses, it is REALLY good, he even enjoyed it. We had a rather sleepless night due to TEETHING, but Haden and I did get a nap in this afternoon. His Grandmama came over to visit and Daddy fixed me steaks on the grill- super yummy! While we were eating, Haden figured out that once he rolls from his back to his tummy, it is possible for him to roll back! Yay Haden- another big accomplishment! We think he is a genius! So, he was content to roll all over the floor while we ate. So, in closing, my family and friends were so great to me this weekend, but my little Haden is what made my Mother's Day. I love him more than life itself, and I adore being his mommy. I love you Haden!!!!!!

Poor Haden...

Poor, poor, poor Haden. Little Tater is teething officially. We've noticed over the last week that he was starting to but over the last few nights he has been waking up at 4am. This morning Haden woke up at 2:30am and began crying and screaming. He would only sleep if he was in the crook of Daddy's arm and if his passy was in his mouth. We looked at his gums this morning and Haden has a bulge on his lower gum. It's just below the surface and looks like it will break through any day now! He also soaked two outfits yesterday with drool. His "motor-boatin" is becoming an every minute thing for him, even while eating (caution of baby food spray zone). If you're wondering what motor-boatin is... it is blowing rasberries. Haden is still loving to scream and see how loud he can get in his happy fits... he get's really excited and screams and giggles as loud as he can!

Well keep Haden in your thoughts cause little tater isn't feeling well.
